Stuart Gray joined Roseburg in August 2017 as senior vice president and general counsel. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Utah in 1997 and his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 2000. Gray also earned an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management in 2016.

Gray’s roots run deep in the construction and building supply industry. Prior to attending law school, he worked for many years as a cabinet maker and finish carpenter. After law school, he worked for Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP in Atlanta as a construction and commercial litigator for three years. Gray spent the following 12 years in progressive roles of responsibility at The Home Depot Inc.’s Legal Department in Atlanta, where he managed commercial and construction litigation across North America and was associate general counsel for its home services, pro supply, operations, and real estate departments. Most recently, Gray spent two years as vice president and deputy general counsel at Sears Holdings Corporation in Chicago, where he led legal teams supporting various departments.
